Open the app where you want to type
Tap the text field to bring up the keyboard
Tap the emoji icon on the keyboard
If you do not see the emoji icon, go to Settings
Tap General
Tap Keyboard
Tap Keyboards
Tap Add New Keyboard
Select Emoji
Tap the emoji icon again
Browse or search for the emoji you want
Tap the emoji to insert it into your text
