How To Make Fried Plantains?

Choose ripe plantains with yellow skin and black spots for sweet fried plantains, or green plantains for less sweet, firmer slices

Peel the plantains and slice them diagonally or into rounds

Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat

Add the plantain slices in a single layer

Fry until golden brown on one side

Flip and fry until the other side is golden brown

Remove the plantains and drain on paper towels

Sprinkle with salt if desired

Serve warm
