Cut potatoes into even fry shapes
Soak cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes
Drain and dry potatoes completely
Toss potatoes with a small amount of oil
Add salt and any seasonings
Spread fries in a single layer on a baking sheet
Use parchment paper or a lightly greased tray
Leave space between fries
Flip fries halfway through baking
Bake until golden brown and crisp
Broil for 1 to 2 minutes at the end if needed
Serve immediately
