Wash your hands and clean your workspace
Gather ingredients: 2/3 cup isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, 1/3 cup aloe vera gel, 10 to 15 drops essential oil if desired
Use alcohol that is at least 60% for hand sanitizer
Pour the alcohol into a clean bowl
Add the aloe vera gel
Mix until smooth
Add essential oil if desired
Stir again until fully combined
Pour the mixture into a spray bottle
Shake before each use
Spray enough to cover both hands
Rub hands together until dry
Store in a cool, dry place
Keep away from heat and flames
