Use eggs that are a few days to a week old
Bring water to a boil first, then lower eggs in gently
Add eggs to already boiling water
Add a little baking soda or vinegar to the water
Cook eggs for 9 to 12 minutes
Transfer eggs immediately to an ice bath
Chill eggs in ice water for at least 10 minutes
Crack and peel under running water
Tap eggs all over before peeling
Start peeling from the wider end
Peel eggs when fully cooled
Store peeled eggs in water in the refrigerator if needed
