How To Make Homemade Candles?

Gather wax, wicks, containers or molds, a double boiler, thermometer, stirring utensil, and fragrance or dye if desired

Clean and dry the containers or molds

Measure the wax needed for your containers or molds

Melt the wax in a double boiler over low to medium heat

Monitor the temperature with a thermometer

Add dye if using, and stir until fully mixed

Remove the wax from heat

Add fragrance if using, and stir gently

Secure the wick in the center of the container or mold

Pour the wax slowly into the container or mold

Keep the wick centered while the wax cools

Let the candle cool and harden completely

Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch

Cure the candle before burning if needed

Test the candle in a safe area before regular use
