1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1 large egg
2 tablespoons melted butter or oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl
Whisk the milk, egg, melted butter or oil, and vanilla in another bowl
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients
Stir until just combined
Heat a lightly greased skillet or griddle over medium heat
Pour about 1/4 cup batter for each pancake
Cook until bubbles form on the surface
Flip and cook until golden brown
Serve warm with syrup, fruit, or butter
