How To Make Icing Sugar Frosting?

2 cups icing sugar

2 to 4 tablespoons milk or water

1 tablespoon softened butter, optional

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, optional

Sift the icing sugar into a bowl

Add the milk or water a little at a time

Add the butter and vanilla, if using

Stir until smooth and spreadable

Add more icing sugar to thicken

Add more milk or water to thin

Use immediately on cakes, cookies, or cupcakes
