How To Make Index In Word?

Open your Word document

Place the cursor where you want the index to appear

Go to the References tab

Click Mark Entry

Select the text you want to include in the index

Click Mark

Repeat for all index entries

Place the cursor where you want the index inserted

Go to the References tab

Click Insert Index

Choose the index format you want

Click OK

Update the index after making changes by right-clicking it and selecting Update Field
