Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan
Add 1 teaspoon grated ginger
Add 4 to 5 crushed black peppercorns
Add 4 to 5 cloves
Add 1 small cinnamon stick
Add 4 to 5 tulsi leaves
Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder or a small piece of fresh turmeric
Simmer for 8 to 10 minutes
Strain into a cup
Add 1 teaspoon honey if desired
Drink warm
