Gather a cardboard tube, 3 small mirror strips, transparent plastic, colored beads or sequins, tape, scissors, and colored paper
Cut the mirror strips to fit inside the tube
Tape the 3 mirror strips together into a triangular prism with reflective sides facing inward
Insert the mirror prism into the cardboard tube
Cut a circle of transparent plastic for one end of the tube
Place a few colored beads or sequins on the plastic
Cover the beads with another clear plastic circle and seal the edges with tape
Attach the sealed plastic end to the tube
Cut a small viewing hole at the other end of the tube
Decorate the outside of the tube with colored paper
Look through the viewing hole and rotate the kaleidoscope to see patterns
