How To Make Kunafa?

Preheat the oven to 180°C

Shred the kunafa dough into fine strands

Mix the shredded dough with melted butter until fully coated

Grease a baking pan with butter

Press half of the kunafa mixture firmly into the pan

Add a layer of sweet cheese or cream filling

Cover with the remaining kunafa mixture and press lightly

Bake until golden and crisp

Prepare sugar syrup by boiling sugar, water, and lemon juice

Simmer the syrup until slightly thickened, then cool it

Remove the kunafa from the oven

Pour the cooled syrup over the hot kunafa

Let it absorb the syrup for a few minutes

Garnish with crushed pistachios

Serve warm
