Cut a square piece of paper
Fold it diagonally both ways
Fold it in half horizontally and vertically
Bring all four corners to the center
Flip the paper over
Bring all four corners to the center again
Flip the paper over again
Pull up one layer of each corner to form petals
Repeat with the remaining layers
Shape the petals gently
Open and adjust the lotus form
