Gather colored paper or cardstock, scissors, glue or tape, a ruler, and a pencil
Cut a rectangle of paper for the purse body
Fold the rectangle in half lengthwise
Unfold and fold both long edges toward the center
Glue or tape the folded edges to form a sturdy tube
Flatten the tube and fold the bottom edge up to make the purse base
Open the bottom fold into a box shape and press the corners flat
Glue or tape the bottom flaps closed
Cut two strips of paper for handles
Fold the strips lengthwise for strength
Attach the handles to the top sides of the purse
Decorate the purse with stickers, drawings, or cut-out shapes
Let all glue dry completely before using the purse
