Gather old newspaper, scissors, glue or tape, and a ruler
Cut the newspaper into a rectangular sheet
Fold one side of the sheet inward to form the bag’s side seam
Apply glue or tape along the folded edge and press it down
Fold the bottom edge upward to create the base
Open the folded bottom and flatten it into a square shape
Fold the top and bottom flaps of the base toward the center
Tape or glue the base flaps securely
Fold the side edges inward to form the bag’s sides
Open the bag gently and shape it into a paper bag
Fold the top edge downward for a neat finish
Add handles if needed using strips of newspaper or string
