Gather paper, scissors, glue or tape, ruler, and string or ribbon
Cut a rectangular piece of paper to the desired purse size
Fold the paper in half lengthwise
Unfold and fold both side edges toward the center crease
Tape or glue the side edges to form a pouch
Fold the bottom edge upward to create the purse base
Secure the bottom with glue or tape
Cut and attach a strip of paper, string, or ribbon for the handle
Reinforce the handle ends with tape or glue
Decorate the purse if desired
Let all adhesive dry before using
