2 oz bourbon
1/2 oz simple syrup
8 to 10 fresh mint leaves
Crushed ice
Mint sprig, for garnish
Place mint leaves and simple syrup in a julep cup or glass
Gently muddle the mint
Fill the glass halfway with crushed ice
Add bourbon
Stir until the cup is frosty
Pack with more crushed ice
Garnish with a mint sprig
