Gather organic oils and fats
Measure lye and distilled water
Put on gloves and safety goggles
Slowly add lye to water
Stir until the lye dissolves
Let the lye solution cool
Melt solid oils if needed
Combine oils and lye solution
Blend until trace forms
Add organic essential oils or additives
Pour mixture into soap molds
Cover and let soap harden
Unmold the soap
Cut into bars if needed
Cure the soap for several weeks
