Remove crusts from white bread
Cut the bread into chunks
Process or pulse the bread into coarse crumbs
Spread the crumbs in a thin layer on a baking sheet
Dry the crumbs in a low oven until crisp but not browned
Let the crumbs cool completely
Store in an airtight container
