How to Make Pop Out Cards?

Gather cardstock, colored paper, scissors, glue, ruler, and pencil

Fold a cardstock sheet in half to make the card base

Decide where the pop-out element will sit inside the card

Cut a small slit or two parallel slits on the folded edge of the inside panel

Push the cut section inward to form a pop-out tab

Fold the tab in the opposite direction to create a support

Cut out the pop-out shape from colored paper

Glue the shape onto the pop-out tab

Add extra layers or decorations to the shape if desired

Close the card carefully to check that it folds flat

Open the card to test the pop-out effect

Trim or adjust any parts that catch or stick out

Decorate the front and inside of the card

Let the glue dry completely before handling

Repeat with multiple tabs for more pop-out elements
