2 cups washing soda
2 cups borax
2 cups grated bar soap or 2 cups soap flakes
Optional: 1 cup baking soda
Optional: 20–30 drops essential oil
Grate the bar soap finely if using a bar
Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl
Add essential oil if using, and stir well
Break up any clumps
Store in an airtight container
Use 1–2 tablespoons per load
Use more for heavily soiled laundry
