Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a pan over medium heat
Add 2 minced garlic cloves and cook for 30 seconds
Add 1 can crushed tomatoes
Add 1 teaspoon salt
Add 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Add 1 teaspoon sugar
Add 1 teaspoon dried oregano
Add 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
Stir well
Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes
Taste and adjust seasoning
Toss with cooked pasta
Serve hot
