Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil
Add spaghetti and cook until al dente
Reserve some pasta water
Drain the spaghetti
In a bowl, mix pesto with a little reserved pasta water
Add the hot spaghetti to the pesto
Toss until evenly coated
Add more pasta water if needed
Serve immediately
Top with grated Parmesan if desired
