Start with white paint
Add a small amount of yellow paint
Add a tiny amount of brown paint
Mix thoroughly
Add more yellow for a lighter tan
Add more brown for a deeper tan
Add a touch of red if needed to warm the tone
Add a touch of black if needed to mute the color
Adjust gradually until the desired tan is reached
