Gather clay
Remove stones, roots, and debris
Add water and knead until smooth
Shape the clay into the desired form
Let the shaped clay dry completely
Fire the dried clay in a kiln at high temperature
Allow it to cool
Apply a terracotta finish or leave it unglazed
