Open Settings
Select Device
Select Keyboard and mouse
Turn on Enable Touchscreen (if available)
If you don’t see the option, open Settings
Select Accessibility
Select Manage accessibility features
Enable Touchscreen (if available)
Restart your Chromebook
Update your Chromebook
Open Settings
Select About ChromeOS
Select Check for updates
Test the touchscreen after the update
Run a hardware check
Open Settings
Select About ChromeOS
Select Diagnostics (or Run diagnostics)
Calibrate the touchscreen (if prompted or available in Diagnostics)
If the touchscreen still doesn’t work, powerwash
Open Settings
Select Reset settings
Select Powerwash
Select Restart and follow the prompts
Contact your school/work admin or Chromebook manufacturer support if it remains disabled or unresponsive
