Locate wall studs with a stud finder
Mark the cabinet height and level line on the wall
Remove cabinet doors and shelves if needed to reduce weight
Drill pilot holes through the cabinet back or hanging rail
Position the cabinet against the wall on the level line
Use shims to keep the cabinet level and plumb
Drive screws through the cabinet into the wall studs
Start with the upper cabinet corners to hold it in place
Check level and alignment after each fastener
Clamp adjacent cabinets together if installing multiple units
Screw adjoining cabinets together through the face frames or sides
Install additional screws into each available stud
Recheck level, plumb, and spacing before tightening fully
Reinstall doors, shelves, and hardware after mounting
Fill any visible gaps with trim or caulk if needed
