Open Instagram
Tap your profile picture
Tap the menu icon
Tap Settings and privacy
Tap Notifications
Choose the notification type you want to mute
Turn off the notification toggles
To mute all notifications, go to your phone settings
Find Instagram in your app notifications
Disable notifications for Instagram
To mute a specific chat, open the chat
Tap the person or group name
Tap Mute messages or Mute notifications
Select how long you want to mute them
