Turn off the PS5 completely
Unplug the power cable and all connected cables
Place the console on a flat, clean surface
Remove the stand if attached
Hold the base firmly
Lift the white side panel slightly
Slide the panel toward the bottom edge of the console
Remove the panel
Repeat for the other side panel if needed
