Push the cork into the bottle with a wooden spoon handle or similar blunt object
Use a key, screwdriver, or sturdy knife to twist into the cork and pull it out carefully
Wrap the bottle neck with a towel and tap the bottom against a wall or shoe to loosen the cork
Use pliers to grip and pull the cork if it is already partly out
Insert a bike pump needle through the cork and pump gently to push it out
Use a wire hanger bent into a hook to catch and extract the cork
Remove the cork by driving a long screw into it and pulling with a claw hammer
If needed, break the bottle neck only as a last resort and with extreme caution
