Lay out everything you plan to pack and check against your itinerary
Choose a packing method: rolling, folding, or a mix
Start with heavier items at the bottom and near the wheels or center
Use packing cubes or compartments to separate categories (shirts, pants, underwear, etc.)
Fold or roll clothing to maximize space and reduce wrinkles
Fill gaps with smaller items (socks, underwear, accessories)
Pack shoes in shoe bags and place them on the sides or at the bottom
Put socks and small items inside shoes to save space
Keep fragile items in the center and wrap them in clothing
Use a separate pouch for liquids and toiletries (liquid rules-compliant)
Pack liquids upright in a leakproof bag and place the bag in a protected area
Keep chargers, cables, and small electronics in one dedicated pouch
Use the inside of the suitcase lid (if applicable) for flat items and documents
Place bulky items first (jackets, sweaters) and build around them
Keep frequently needed items accessible (top layer or outer pocket area)
Use a “do not crush” layer for items that wrinkle easily (shirts, blazers)
Consider a compression bag for bulky, low-wrinkle items (if allowed and needed)
Avoid overpacking; leave a small amount of space for souvenirs or exchanges
Seal the suitcase with the zipper fully aligned to prevent uneven bulging
Do a final shake/press check to confirm items are secure and won’t shift
