Turn on Bluetooth on your iPad
Attach the Apple Pencil to the iPad’s magnetic connector if you have Apple Pencil Pro or Apple Pencil (2nd generation)
Plug Apple Pencil (1st generation) into the iPad’s Lightning port or use the USB-C to Apple Pencil Adapter if required
Tap Pair when the pairing prompt appears
Wait for the Apple Pencil to connect
Check the battery widget to confirm it is paired
If it does not pair, restart the iPad and try again
