Cut off the crown
Score the skin lightly from top to bottom into sections
Fill a bowl with water
Submerge the pomegranate in the water
Pull the sections apart under water
Loosen the seeds from the membrane
Let the seeds sink and the membrane float
Skim off the floating membrane
Drain the seeds
Pat the seeds dry if needed
