Clean the puja area and take a bath
Place a clean cloth on a platform or altar
Install the Ganesh idol or picture
Light a lamp and incense
Keep water, flowers, rice, kumkum, turmeric, sandalwood, fruits, and sweets ready
Apply sandalwood, kumkum, and turmeric to the idol
Offer flowers and durva grass
Offer water and akshata
Chant Ganesh mantras or prayers
Offer modak, laddoo, or other sweets
Perform aarti with a diya or lamp
Pray for blessings, wisdom, and removal of obstacles
Distribute prasad to family members
Conclude the puja with respectful bowing
Dispose of puja items as per local tradition and keep the area clean
