Choose a healthy plumeria cutting with at least 12 inches of stem and several nodes
Let the cut end dry and callus for 7 to 14 days in a warm, dry place
Select a pot with drainage holes or a well-draining planting site
Fill with a fast-draining cactus or succulent mix
Insert the cutting 2 to 4 inches deep into the soil
Keep the cutting upright and firm the soil around it
Do not water immediately after planting
Place in bright light with warmth
Begin light watering only after roots start forming
