Place the rose in the hole with the graft union slightly above soil level
Spread the roots out evenly if planting bare-root roses
Backfill the hole with the amended soil
Firm the soil gently around the plant
Water thoroughly after planting
Add mulch around the base, keeping it away from the stem
Space multiple rose plants according to their mature size
Water regularly during the first growing season
Prune lightly if needed after planting
Protect newly planted roses from extreme heat or frost
Fertilize only after new growth begins
