Use a standard domino set, usually double-six
Shuffle all dominoes face down
Each player draws 7 tiles if using double-six
Place the remaining tiles face down as the boneyard
Decide who goes first, usually the player with the highest double
If no one has a double, the highest total tile starts
The first player places one tile in the center
Players take turns matching one end of the layout with a tile that has the same number
Tiles can be played only if they match an open end
If a player cannot play, they draw one tile from the boneyard
If the drawn tile can be played, it may be played immediately
If not, the player passes
Continue taking turns until one player uses all their tiles
The first player to empty their hand wins the round
If neither player can move and the boneyard is empty, the round ends blocked
In a blocked round, the player with the fewest pips in hand wins
If both players have the same number of pips, the round is a tie
Keep score by adding the losing player’s remaining pips to the winner’s score
Play multiple rounds until reaching the agreed winning score
