Use a Five Crowns deck with 116 cards: 3–7 in each of five suits, plus 6 jokers
Goal: have the lowest score after all rounds
Play 11 rounds
Deal cards equal to the round number: 3 cards in round 1, 4 in round 2, and so on up to 13 in round 11
Turn one card face up to start the discard pile
On your turn, draw one card from the deck or take the top card from the discard pile
Try to make books of three or more cards of the same rank
Try to make runs of three or more cards in the same suit
In each round, the wild card changes to match the round number
Jokers are always wild
After drawing, you may lay down your melds if you can
You may add cards to existing melds on the table
Discard one card at the end of your turn
When you go out, you must have all cards melded except one discard
Other players get one final turn after someone goes out
Score unmelded cards at the end of each round
Number cards score their face value
Wild cards score 20 points
Jokers score 50 points
Add scores after each round
The player with the lowest total score at the end wins
