Shuffle a standard 52-card deck
Deal 7 piles from left to right
Put 1 card in the first pile, 2 in the second, up to 7 in the seventh
Turn only the top card of each pile face up
Place the remaining cards face down as the stock
Leave space for four foundation piles
Move aces to the foundation piles when they appear
Build each foundation pile upward by suit from ace to king
In the tableau, build cards downward in alternating colors
Move sequences of face-up cards together when they follow the same rule
Turn over the top face-down card in a tableau pile when it becomes exposed
Draw cards from the stock one at a time or three at a time, depending on the version
Play any usable stock card to the tableau or foundation
When the stock is empty, recycle the waste pile if the version allows it
Keep moving cards to uncover hidden cards and free columns
Win by moving all cards to the four foundation piles
