Clean the part thoroughly to remove dirt, grease, rust, and old coatings
Sandblast or abrade the surface if needed for better adhesion
Mask any areas that should not be coated
Ground the part properly
Load powder into the powder coating gun
Apply the powder evenly to the part using an electrostatic spray gun
Inspect the coated part for even coverage and missed spots
Move the part carefully to the curing oven
Cure the part at the powder manufacturer’s recommended temperature and time
Remove the part from the oven after curing
Let the part cool completely
Inspect the finished coating for defects
Recoat or repair any problem areas if needed
