Wash the green beans under cold running water
Trim off the stem ends
Cut or snap the beans into desired lengths
Boil water in a pot and add a pinch of salt
Add the green beans to the boiling water
Cook until tender-crisp, about 3 to 5 minutes
Drain the beans and rinse with cold water to stop cooking
Season with salt, pepper, butter, garlic, or lemon juice
Serve warm or use in your recipe
