Locate the “Learn” or “Smart” button on the garage door opener motor unit
Press and release the “Learn” button
Within 30 seconds, press and hold the button on the Craftsman remote you want to program
Release the remote button when the garage door opener lights blink or you hear a click
Test the remote to confirm the door opens and closes
Repeat the process for additional remote buttons if needed
If programming fails, replace the remote battery and try again
If needed, clear the opener memory and reprogram all remotes and keypads
