Preheat the oven to 400°F to 425°F
Trim the Brussels sprouts and remove any damaged outer leaves
Cut larger sprouts in half
Pat the sprouts dry
Place the sprouts on a baking sheet
Drizzle with olive oil
Season with salt and black pepper
Toss to coat evenly
Arrange in a single layer with cut sides down
Roast for 20 to 30 minutes
Flip halfway through if desired
Roast until browned and tender
Serve immediately
