Hold the yarn in front of your work
Insert the right needle into the front of the next stitch from right to left
Wrap the yarn counterclockwise around the right needle
Pull the wrapped yarn through the stitch
Slide the old stitch off the left needle
Repeat for each purl stitch
Keep the yarn in front for every purl stitch
Practice maintaining even tension on the yarn
