Check the condom package for damage and the expiration date
Open the package carefully with your fingers, not teeth or sharp objects
Make sure the condom is the right way up
Pinch the tip of the condom to leave space for semen
Place the condom on the tip of the erect penis
Roll the condom down to the base of the penis
Stop and replace it if it does not unroll easily or is inside out
Use water-based or silicone-based lubricant if needed
After ejaculation, hold the condom at the base while withdrawing
Remove the condom carefully to avoid spilling
Tie the condom closed and throw it in the trash
Use a new condom every time you have sex
