Wash your hands thoroughly
Clean the nose stud and piercing area with saline
Hold the corkscrew stud so the curved end points in the direction of insertion
Insert the tip into the piercing from the front of the nostril
Gently twist the stud along the curve while guiding it through the hole
Continue twisting until the decorative end sits flush against the outside of the nostril
Make sure the post is fully seated and not pinching the skin
If needed, use a mirror and steady the nostril with one hand
Stop if you feel strong pain or resistance
Clean the area again after insertion
