Lie down flat and raise your legs above heart level

If you feel faint, sit or lie down immediately
Avoid alcohol
Avoid hot showers or standing in heat
If prescribed, take your emergency blood pressure medication exactly as directed
Call emergency services now if you have chest pain, trouble breathing, confusion, fainting, severe weakness, or signs of shock
Seek urgent medical care if low blood pressure is persistent or unexplained
