If there is a range, read from the first verse to the last verse
Example: John 3:16-18 means verses 16 through 18
If there are multiple verses separated by commas, read each listed verse
Example: John 3:16, 18 means verses 16 and 18
If a passage includes a chapter range, read from the starting chapter and verse to the ending chapter and verse
Example: John 3:16-4:2 means from John chapter 3 verse 16 to John chapter 4 verse 2
