Check the Recycle Bin or Trash
Open Excel and go to File
Select Open
Click Recent
Choose Recover Unsaved Workbooks
Look in the AutoRecover file location
Search for files with .xls, .xlsx, .xlsm, or .tmp extensions
Use File > Info > Manage Workbook
Select Recover Unsaved Workbooks
Open the recovered file and save it immediately
Check OneDrive or SharePoint version history
Right-click the file and select Version History
Restore a previous version if available
Use File > Open > Browse
Change the file type filter to All Files
Search for backup copies with .bak extension
Open Excel in Safe Mode
Repair Microsoft Office from system settings
Use a file recovery tool if the file was deleted
Restore from a system backup if available
