Place the rice in a microwave-safe bowl
Break up any clumps with a fork
Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water per cup of rice
Cover the bowl with a microwave-safe lid or damp paper towel
Microwave on high for 1 to 2 minutes
Stir the rice halfway through
Microwave in additional 30-second intervals until hot
Let it sit for 1 minute before serving
Check that the rice is steaming hot throughout
Discard if the rice has been left out too long before reheating
